This pool is being used to fill current unilingual and bilingual Full-Time/Part-Time/Casual Fixed-Term Contract (temporary positions), as well as possible future permanent opportunities in classifications C0006 - Detachment Admin Clerk /Regional/Divisional Admin Assistant NWR&HSD (C0125)/ and RHQ Finance & Admin Assistant (C0145)
Successful candidates from the 2024 Administrative Talent Pool (Job Id 217630/ Competition 24-228) will remain active in the current pool and will be utilized first to fill vacancies before going to new pool until it expires March 2026.
Candidates applying to this ad (if successful) will be placed in this pool and can be hired after March 2026 with the score from this selection process.
Salary:
Detachment Admin Clerk (C0006) $35.80 - $40.63 per hour
Regl/Div Admin Asst NWR & HSD (C0125) $34.11 - $38.92 per hour
RHQ Finance & Admin Assistant (C0145) $34.11 - $38.92 per hour

About the job
In these roles, you will:• Provides a full range of administrative support including coordinating meetings, arranging travel and special events, preparing background materials, producing correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and accurate minutes for meetings.
• Prepare human resource documents such as attendance and payroll
• Compiles and maintains confidential records and materials (e.g. personnel files, salaries, confidential correspondence)
• Provide financial administrative support by processing invoices and expense claims
• Collects, compiles and distributes statistics/data as required at the detachment or regional level
• Support and implement new/revised administrative procedures to improve office operations and updates/maintains office procedures manuals
• In Detachments, respond to inquiries from the public over phone and/or in-person

Mandatory requirements
• Ability to pass an OPP background/ security clearance.• Oral and written French language skill at an advanced level in designated positions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge and ability to provide a variety of administrative support services, including file management, purchasing, invoices/expense claims, and the preparation of human resources documents• Ability to independently apply problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to time manage your workload and set priorities with strict deadlines
• Ability to apply attention to detail and math skills to check and verify information and provide administrative financial support such as financial accounts payable/receivable and expenses
• Communication and interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries, prepare standard correspondence and work in a team environment
• Computer skills including experience with software programs such as word processing, database, spreadsheet and organization chart applications, for example: Microsoft Word and Excel , PeopleSoft or similar human resource management systems
