The Chief Information Officer serves the following organizations in this capacity:
Hornepayne Community Hospital, Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital (Hearst) and Sensenbrenner Hospital (Kapuskasing).
The work base is either Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital or Sensenbrenner Hospital.
It is the responsibility of the Shared Chief Information Officer to:
● Ensure that information technology, security and telecommunications services meet the organizations’ mission and align with future directions.
● Work with senior management and leaders to identify opportunities to improve organizational performance through the use of information technology and systems.
● Establish and maintain the enterprise-wide information security strategy and framework to protect digital assets and data.
● Plan, design, select, implement, maintain, and support all information technology, security and system applications, along with the associated infrastructure, supporting structures, and third-party contracts.
● Provide guidance and support for the application of clinical informatics function and its clinical users, adding value to all system functionalities, including Expanse process, improving safety and outcomes.
Qualifications
● 3-year College Diploma or University degree in Information Technology or Information Systems;
● Five or more years of experience managing and/or directing Information Technology or Information Systems;
● Proven experience in IT infrastructure strategic planning and development, project management, and policy development;
● Good understanding and technical knowledge of current network technology, security and computer operating systems;
● Understanding of IT security, privacy and the regulatory environment as it relates to FIPPA, PHIPA, NIST and related regulations and standards;
● Knowledge of clinical informatics and the use of IT/IS within a healthcare environment, including but not limited to Meditech applications;
● Demonstrates strong communication, leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities while effectively prioritizing tasks in high-pressure environments, collaborating with clinical teams, supporting organizational change and project implementation, and communicating fluently in English and French.
Start date: May 2026
Annual salary: $128,758.50 to $144,202.50, plus benefits and pension plan.
