Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various fabrication and welding techniques. This role involves working with a range of materials and tools to build, rig, and assemble components for various projects. Experience with heavy equipment or truck and trailers is an asset. Worksite are mainly around Hearst, Chapleau, Timmins, Hornpayne for the moment.

Duties

• Operate hand tools and machinery including plasma cutting equipment and press brake machines to fabricate metal components.
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques to assemble parts and structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Rig materials for lifting using cranes or other equipment as necessary.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during fabrication.

Requirements

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in fabrication and welding.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to the fabrication process.
• Familiarity with plasma cutting techniques and equipment.
• Ability to rig materials safely for lifting operations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical specifications accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 75 per week
