PURPOSE OF JOB
- Responsible for the overall administration, operation, and safety of aquatic services, including the swimming pool, aquatic programs, and staff management.
- Oversee the development and supervision of the summer youth programs, ensuring effective delivery, including grant applications and program logistics.
- Oversee staff, including the Aquatics Assistant Manager, lifeguards, instructors, and seasonal staff, while ensuring adherence to safety standards, maintaining equipment, and fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- College Diploma in Recreation Management or a related field, or acceptable equivalent.
- Current National Lifeguard certification.
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification from an approved agency.
- Current Swim Instructor certification, preferably with Lifesaving Society.
- Experience in budget management and program development.
- Proven experience in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Experience in grant writing and managing grant-funded programs would be an asset.
- Effective communication skills in both official languages (French/English) preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
SALARY
The salary is established according to classification 10 of the Salary Administration Program and the level of qualifications and experience, which is between $70,408 and $80,475 annually. A complete fringe benefits program, including an OMERS pension plan, is offered.
